A Swiss Holding Company for Saudi Family Businesses

Saudi groups are internationalising faster than any generation before them. Vision 2030 capital is flowing outward, successions are moving to the second and third generation, and family businesses that were purely domestic a decade ago now hold assets, brands and partnerships across three continents.

What most of those groups still lack is a European pillar: one entity, in a jurisdiction banks and counterparties price at face value, where holdings consolidate and succession can be engineered deliberately. That is the role a Swiss holding company plays alongside Saudi operations, and it is the structure we build most often for Gulf families.

Why Switzerland alongside your operations

Credibility that prices into every deal

European counterparties, private banks and acquirers treat a Swiss holding entity as a mark of governance. For a family group buying into European assets or seeking institutional partners, the letterhead does measurable work.

Succession on your terms

A Swiss holding level lets shareholdings, dividend policy and next generation participation be documented under a stable legal system, without disturbing the operating companies at home.

Substance from day one

Our structures come with a Zug registered office and a resident director as standard. That is what Swiss banks and tax authorities now examine first, and it is the difference between a holding company and a letterbox.

Switzerland and Saudi Arabia have a double taxation agreement in force, giving structured dividend and financing flows between the two countries treaty support. We confirm current rates and conditions for each mandate.

How we build it

Seraama is a Zug based boutique founded by a UK qualified lawyer with twenty three years of international corporate experience. We form the Swiss company, provide the resident director and registered office that give it real substance, prepare the banking file and make the introduction. One firm, one standard, personally accountable for what we build.

We take a limited number of clients, principally from the Gulf, Asia, Africa and Latin America, and most arrive through professional referral. Fees are quoted in writing after a short consultation; we do not publish price lists, deliberately.

Questions we hear from this corridor

Can a Saudi national own a Swiss company outright?

Yes. Swiss company law places no restriction on foreign ownership. A GmbH or AG can be owned entirely by Saudi individuals or entities. Swiss law requires that at least one director or authorised signatory is resident in Switzerland, and we provide that role together with the registered office.

How does a Swiss holding company sit alongside our Saudi operating business?

The operating business stays exactly where it is. The Swiss company sits above or alongside it as the international holding level: it can hold foreign subsidiaries, intellectual property and investments, receive dividends, and act as the counterparty European institutions prefer to face.

How long does a Swiss formation take for a Gulf based owner?

Plan for six to eight weeks end to end. The pacing item is the Swiss bank: a capital deposit account takes four weeks or more to open, so we begin that application on day one. Once the account is open, the formation itself completes within two to four weeks. Nothing requires you to travel to Switzerland; the process is managed from Zug by us.
